Hey, anybody besides me thing it strange that the "Quick Reply" sections appear at the bottom of each page, even in a multiple page thread? I mean, does it make sense to be writing your reply on page 1, if the latest messages are on page 3? Wouldn't you only want the Quick Reply section at the END of the thread, after you have read all the posts? (Or am I missing something?) I don't know how many times I have written the reply, only to find out I'm not at the end of the thread, so I have to inconveniently go through the rest of the thread before I can determine if the question/comment has been responded to, and then maybe dump my original reply. It just seem un-intuitive to me.

Well, part of the problem is that the posts are displayed in the sequence posted, that is, oldest first. Thus, to get to the newest, you have to specifically go to it. Even if you re-sort using the pulldown window thingy at the bottom of the page, it isn't sticky; you have to do that for each forum/thread every time. Is there a global preference setting somewhere that will do that automatically, always? I couldn't find anything in the Profile section.

On most similar forums, it doesn't matter where you are in the thread, you can reply to any post - in the sense the post where you clicked is then available for quoting in the edit window ...
When you confirm your message, it's always put at the end of the thread, and the browser then shows you the view their ... simple but effective ...
I noticed only today the "embedding" of replies .... not a good idea, throwing your thread out of sequence.... what happens to "post-specific" links in other thrads, hmmm?
Simple but effective
You can reply or quick reply from any point - it's just aWhen you confirm the reply, it's put at the end of the thread, and the refresh then comes up with the last page in the thread, and there is your reply at the correct position ... smooth
