RACE used to exist at "decompiler.com"...but I think if you try that now, you will see that someone didn't pay the bill. I don't know who is responsible for doing so, so I can't say whether it will ever be back. Anyway, that MB was originally RACE's home. Currently, it doesn't have a new one yet, although I have been invited to post it to a number of MB's.
So, I guess the best thing is to EMAIL it to you, as a zip file, about 250k.
You will have to give me your EMAIL address; I see it is not in your profile. Send it to me at "sargeant_g@hotmail.com", and be sure to mention RACE in the subject, else it will go into the junk mail pile.

Actually, RACE is available here on this site. But I am ashamed to admit I have forgotten the link to it; someone else graciously set it up for me (administrator--help!). I can also tell you that RACE is available on the exetools site (http://www.exetools.com) in their ftp section. I will certainly email it to you if you desire, but it will be a lot faster if you download it yourself.

RACE 3.3 is a PCode (only) analyzer, although there is some small Native support. It will display the PCode and GUI data for each module. There is enough info there to allow reverse analysis of the source, if you are determined.
RACE 3.4, not yet available, give a step by step analysis of each PCode opcode, as well as a high-level look at the flow of source code that created the PCode.

Hi everybody, Im in serious trouble. I need to decompile my VB6 program I loaded at a client. I lost ALL my source code this morning (Faulty flash device), and have only a backup availailable from a week ago. What is out there I can use that works. I tried VBREZQ, but that is a lot of bull, since it only recovers the screen layouts. I need to get hold of my code... My project is fairly large... PLEASE HELP !!!!!

"a lot of bull" is considered hard work by some of the members here....
Regardless....links to race are posted on the board. _________________ -MrU
