looks like it hasnt been updated in a while...it has a reference to decompiler.com...
Maybe i skimmed through it too fast but i dont really see anything about a "decompilation service" with the exception of DoDi's flat rate of $100 yet they leave no way to contact him... _________________ -MrU

I think Axyz meant the reference to "VBRB or Visual Basic 6 Right Back".
Its website at [url:2clpfnpx]http://www.decompiler.org/[/url:2clpfnpx] offers the decompilation service.

Yea i saw that after i posted. Sorry bout that. I thought Axyz meant he got the link from there. I guess i got it backwards
But still... decompiler.org doesnt look like they are actually offering anything...at least not yet.
One of my goals was to be able to offer an Online Service....i guess similar to what the propose...but theres legal matters to think of i suppose.
i guess we will see how that goes... _________________ -MrU

I'm a developer at Decompiler Technologies.
I noticed this post from my referrer link, but I've been checking this board on and off for over a year.
Yes, we are going to be providing a native VB6 decompilation service, for a fee, and we'll be very careful not to decompile apps that obviously aren't written by that person.
I read a lot of the VB file structure information from this board, like ObjectInfo etc, which was a great help. I'll be posting my additions soon in the spirit of the community
But the really (really!) hard bit I did myself, namely, turning the x86 code into VB source. Which meant emulating many x86 functions (thanks Intel Instruction Set PDF) and finding out all the opcodes (there's about 300). If I knew how much work it would be, I wouldn't have started it
Cheers,
Jeremy (Zandor).

Good Luck, to you and feel free to post as much as you would like. This site it pretty much open to whoever wants to contribute. How will the service be ran? Could i submit an exe and it come back in my email? or will it be decompiled via a com object on the server?
I am sure i am not the only one that is curious
Anyways see you around _________________ -MrU
